Launched with faith and vision, this campaign is our promise to provide a safe, beautiful, sustainable, and welcoming campus for all.

Maintaining Our Treasured Space

Our current parking lot, last updated in 1957, presents many challenges.  Cracks, potholes, uneven surfaces, the lack of an ADA ramp, and a limited number of ADA parking spaces create challenges for members, visitors, and community partners who use our facilities. Additionally, inadequate lighting pose safety concerns, particularly during evening services and events.

What We’re Building Together

As an Earth Care congregation, we are called to be stewards of creation. Our parking lot renovation reflects this mission by aligning sustainability with accessibility and beauty.  Key features of the plan include:

  • Solar Energy Transition: A solar installation providing 60-65% renewable energy, paying for itself in approximately 15 years. Installation. Summer 2025.
  • Improved Accessibility and Safety: Redesigned traffic flow, nine new ADA spaces, clearly marked walkways, improved lighting, and secure fencing.
  • Sustainable Beauty: Bioswales for stormwater management, native trees, and drought-tolerant landscaping to create a serene and eco-friendly entrance.

Timeline

  • Groundbreaking: Fall 2025
  • Construction Duration: Approximately 2 months
  • Celebration: Upon completion

Hear from our Campaign Co-Chairs

I sure look forward to a safer, well-lit parking lot and the solar panels. This new parking lot is our Welcome Mat to our church family members, visitors and guests to join us in receiving and celebrating God’s love.

-Allison Cagley, Paving the Way Co-Chair

I am inspired to believe that a renovation of the parking lot serves as a deliberate investment in the future mission of the church and its role within the community.

A Message from Pastor Keith

It’s about time! After almost three decades of capital improvements to our campus, one of our most neglected assets s about to get a major facelift. Yes, we are Paving the Way to Welcome All with a new parking lot.

Paving the Way is our seventh capital campaign since the mid 1990s and we are already off to a great start with three bequests and other gifts over the last seven years totaling $628,000 that have been designated to our building fund. Thanks to these generous donors, our overall need to complete the project is estimated at $1.75 million. The solar installation is projected to cost $371,000, with a potential federal rebate of $111,000 in 2026. Initial cost estimates obtained in July 2024 were $1,500,000. Final cost projections will be available after the request for proposal process, anticipated in June 2025.

To ensure we are faithfully focusing on our congregations’ current needs while also preparing for the future, we respectfully ask you to consider joining us. Please know that your gift can begin and end at your convenience. Planned gifts – such as appreciated assets, IRAs, life insurance, bequests, or other long-term gifts – are also welcome.

Thank you for prayerfully considering joining us. Together we can ensure we make these important additions to our campus as we pave the way for the next 100 years.
