Carmichael Food Closet

When you drive up to the Food Closet, you will be asked for your family name. Then you may roll up your windows and open your trunk (or back seat). Volunteers will place your food in your vehicle.

Hours of Operation

The Carmichael Presbyterian Food Closet is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, except holidays.

Requesting Food

Call 916-483-9232 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon to request food.

 

Picking Up

Pick up food between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the day you call.
OR
you may come on Thursdays between 6:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. No calling in necessary.

Supper on Saturday (SOS)

Supper on Saturday is held on the third Saturday of every month at 4:00 p.m. Anyone wanting a hot meal is welcome. Individuals, couples, and families enjoy a sit-down meal with volunteers providing table service.

There are many tasks to make this ministry successful including preparation, serving meals and cleanup.

Showers

Our campus is open every Saturday to provide showers to our homeless neighbors from 9 am – 1 pm, in partnership with Carmichael HART.

VOLUNTEER

World Relief Refugee Women's Integration Groups

CPC partners with World Relief, a Christian refugee resettlement agency, to provide support for our neighboring Afghan refugee families.

Family Promise - Housing

Family Promise helps families regain housing, independence, and dignity by teaching them to set specific goals and strategies designed to dismantle obstacles preventing their success. CPC provides support by participating in work days at the Safe Haven Tiny Homes site.

Christmas Gift Ministry

CPC’s Board of Deacons works with local schools each winter to provide food, toys, and gifts to more than 50 local families. Members and friends are invited to contribute towards gift cards for each family.

Emancipation Baskets

Our Presbyterian Women’s sewing circle makes blankets for youth who have completed the county’s Independent Living Program and are ready to move into independent housing.
